R-Kyve

R-Kyve (pronounced Archive) is a composer/songwriter out of Bronx New York. His father, Michael Cortez was part of an accapella singing group which revolved around tight harmonic doo-wop style and of course a passion for good music. In 1983 R-Kyve (Stephen M.Cortez) was already developing an ear for music as he was constantly in tuned to his fathers singing. R-Kyve will never forget the day his father bought him his first keyboard. This marked the day that music would envelope R-Kyve and allow him to show and express himself through his creative abilities. R-Kyve’s love for music and ambition enabled him to play the keys by ear and at age 12 had composed many original tracks. A perfectionist, which holds true to his motto that “his next track will be better than his last.” R-Kyve takes pride in knowing his work is normally always 100% original, without samples. Though R-Kyve has composed within many different genres of music, his focus has been to revolutionize the RnB, Hip Hop and Rap communities. Composing over hundreds of original tracks within the last 14 years, he looks forward to sharing his life told through his music to the world!

@-LisT

Singer, Songwriter, Producer
His education of music came almost as suddenly as his arrival into the world, with Motown’s best and pop music from his fathers collection to symphony and classic rock ‘n’ roll influence from his mothers collection. He grew up letting this collection of sounds mold the melody in heart. His favorite inspirations of vocals come from the industries classics, such as Freddy Mercury the lead vocalist from Queen, Stevie Wonder, and female vocalist Celine Dion. In the early years of his production he was heavily influenced by jazz bossa-nova sound. But as he progresses as a new and introspective producer and writer in the industry he strives never to stray from symphony orchestratic compositions. Teamed up with JK (Troy Black) and Klarc Kent they formed the group “Premiere”. But on his own he has his own sound where he continues to push the limits on music. “Symphony is music in its purest form, unaffected by impurities and imperfections of human voice and error.” As a member and friend of JK, he endeavors to create a doorway for talented musicians to find success. “@”
